Susan Picart, LCSW, SAP, CAMS-II

Clinical Therapist & Counseling Professional

Is your worrying, depression, or anger taking over your life? Is it difficult to stay calm and composed when angry? Is the loss of a loved one too painful to cope? Are you trying to find a solution to a damaged marriage or relationship? Seeing a professional is one of the best decisions you can ever make for yourself. I'm not here to issue judgment, but to focus on getting you back to a happier and more fulfilled life while using a strength-based, positive, individual, and affirming perspective. I can help you cope but I can also help you conquer.

I am a licensed clinical social worker holding a current license for the state of Georgia and Tennessee. I have extensive education, training, and experience with those suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse and I have worked in the mental health field for 17 years. During this time I have served clients in Toronto, New York City, Cincinnati, Memphis, and Atlanta. I am a Fordham University graduate, with a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work and have certification as both a Substance Abuse Professional and Anger Management Specialist. I am also a proud member of the National Association of Social Workers.

I am known for my warm, relaxed, and comfortable approach to counseling. As an Integrative Psychotherapist, this means I utilize a variety of orientations and therapies, according to the client’s individual needs. My job is simple. It's to help you get back to living your BEST life. I understand that anger, depression, anxiety, grief, and broken relationships can derail even the strongest person. It's not easy, but it is possible!

I work with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, other mental health disorders. I also work with other unresolved emotional issues, such as, self-esteem/self-empowerment, grief and loss, relationship/family concerns, individual therapy for personal and emotional growth, work/life balance, living a more fulfilled life while creating more meaning or purpose.

My experience includes working with both adults and adolescents. I am contracted with most local insurance panels, and am the owner of Broadview Behavioral Health Center.

Personal Note
Raised in Toronto, Canada, I am a first generation Canadian with a diverse West Indian/Caribbean background. I am married and parent an adolescent son and daughter. I enjoy spending quality time with my family/friends, going to church, traveling, cooking, running and working out to a good aerobics DVD to get my day started with pumped energy.
